I use the software with the Touch in Ableton all the time, works great for me. I'm not a person though who wants multiple instances of the plugin. I'm not to sure what you would do with multi timbre settings in a plug in. Of course I can see the uses in a standalone mode. Another question, why do you need multiple instances of the plugin to chop samples? What would be the problem doing that with one instance of the plugin?
ByDannyBmpc Thu Jul 21, pm. If you are just looking to chop samples then ex24 is somewhat decent but not as good as the mpc. I would do all my sampling and sequencing work in the standalone version and then bring my tracks over to logic.
My work flow is like this: Chop samples, do my drums. Drag and drop the audio when they are finalized. Layer bass or strings if needed then mix and master in logic. You are getting confused with the terminology. Multitimbral means it can play many different sounds at once multiple instances of the plug in are not really necessary for what you are looking for. When you click Learn Mode the button will turn blue and Logic will be ready to assign a control. Click on the desired control to map in Logic Pro X.
